Robert Redford is one of the most private of the superstars - even more so in 1986 with the gossip columns buzzing about a marital break-up and new girlfriends. George Negus tried over several years to arrange an interview, and when it finally happened, it couldn't have been in a more breathtaking location. The two climbed to a snow-capped mountaintop overlooking Redford's 'Sundance' resort in Utah. Redford talks frankly about the problems of Hollywood and trying to maintain his own identity amid the publicity hype and crush of adoring fans. As it turns out, he himself is a loyal fan of Australian films.
