디에잇의 이번 디지털 싱글 ‘Side By Side’는 ‘Falling Down’ 이후 약 1년 만에 공개하는 솔로 곡으로 오랫동안 기다려준 팬들을 위해 중국어 뿐만 아니라 한국어까지 2가지 버전을 선보이며 디에잇만의 감각적인 감성과 한층 더 성장한 아티스트의 면모를 담아냈다.

‘나란히’는 좋아하는 상대가 내 마음을 몰라줘서 서운한 감정을 써 내려 간 사랑스러운 곡으로 감성적인 기타 코드 연주와 미니멀하지만 꽉 찬 드럼, 베이스와 플럭 사운드 연주가 곡의 재미를 더한다. 중독성 있는 멜로디에 단순하지만 기억에 남는 퍼포먼스가 특히나 인상적이다. 특히 디에잇은 이번 노래에도 직접 작사, 작곡에 참여해 곡의 완성도를 높였다. 뮤직비디오에서도 ‘사랑에 빠진 남자’를 완벽하게 소화해내며 ‘글로벌 만능 엔터테이너’의 입지를 단단히 굳혔다.
