In this exclusive interview excerpt from the LEGENDS: Podcast by All Day Vinyl, Stu Cook, co-founder and bass player of Creedence Clearwater Revival, shares the incredible early history of Creedence, which had its roots in the 7th-grade meeting of the Fogerty brothers and Cosmo Clifford. In this clip, Stu shares the journey from the beginnings of their first band The Blue Velvets to playing high school gigs to ultimately signing with Fantasy Records. He talks about making an infamous deal that eventually caused an unrepairable rift between band members and one key detail that enticed Fogerty to sign the deal.
