The French Dispatch was released in 2021, and is Wes Anderson's latest film, and I think it's pretty great! The first two stories gripped me the most, starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro and Lea Seydoux, the third story was lacking in the story aspect but was held up by the great cinematography, set design, and a great main character played by Timothee Chalamet. The third story was good, but I didn't love the characters that much, as well as the animated chase sequence which I felt was a bit jarring and out of place compared to the rest of the piece, but it was entertaining overall and the kidnapping and action set pieces were hilarious and perfectly edited. So overall, I loved the production design, editing, cinematography, set design, directing, acting, and just the overall lovely vibe and feel this film radiates, I loved it!
