Imagine being locked up in solitary confinement in pitch-black for 29 days or more in The Hole. Would you be driven to madness? We set up cameras to catch paranormal activity in one of the most haunted locations in the nation, Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Brushy operated as a coal mining labor facility and maximum-security prison for 113 years. Its reputation as the last stop for the worst criminals became legend. Prisoners who failed to mine their daily quota of coal, or angered the guards, were banished to The Hole, a lightless cellblock where each inmate had two buckets: one for water and one for a bathroom. In 1957, The Hole was shut down and replaced with D-block to keep the nastiest inmates isolated from the rest. Find out if the souls of the damned remain trapped inside The Hole.
