Every coffee machine manufacturer seems to be adding some patented technology or feature into their machines these days just to stand out a bit from the crowd. Lelit have added a priority switch to their Mara X to help with temp stability. ECM, has added a Flush Advisor which tells the home barista, when to flush the group head if there has been too much build up in the pressure from the heat exchange boiler.

ECM is not as well known as Profitec although they are very much the same company using and swapping a lot of the same technology. So if you've watched my videos where I recommend Profitec you'll also notice I often include ECM into the line ups.

This particular machine is the Mechanika Max and I spoke to Ariele from the Milan team at ECM about the features and benefits and what makes it so special.
