I’m excited to finally be planting potatoes for my fall garden. I’ve been preparing to plant potatoes for the last 6 weeks by pulling potatoes out of storage to allow them to chit, then cutting potatoes, and then planting potatoes in my raised bed. I grow potatoes in both spring and fall since summers are just too hot to grow them here in Florida. For fall potato planting, be sure to back date your time to harvest to your first frost date to ensure you have enough time for the plants to grow potatoes.
