This drum lesson will give you a few different ways to improve your up tempo ride cymbal playing. To improve your up tempo ride cymbal playing you have to relax, think slow, LIFT and use a combination of fingers and wrist for speed and control. Drummers who I enjoy listening to on up tempos include Tony Williams, Louis Hayes, Lewis Nash, Max Roach, Gregory Hutchinson, Stan Levy and Kenny Washington.
