Upon arrival at the Shadow Realm, Thor, Jane Foster, and King Valkyrie attempt to locate the children, realizing they have fallen into a trap. They find out that Gorr intended to take Stormbreaker in order to utilize the Bifrost Bridge to access Eternity, where he could wish for the extinction of the gods. They battle Gorr and his shadow monsters but are forced to flee back to New Asgard since Valkyrie and Jane are wounded. Before Stormbreaker can transport them across the Bifrost, Gorr manages to steal it.
