Went out to the Gold Bar Waterfall to do some maintenance and repair the easier route. Right as we pulled up to the Waterfall I lost steering in the wrecker. The hydraulic ram failed internally. As we were heading out there we got a call for a recovery further up the trail then where the maintenance was. Luckily the people were in town so they picked up a ram and brought it out to us so we could repair the wrecker and go on to the recovery. This was an unfortunate accident that resulted in the vehicle being in a bad spot we had to go off trail to get to. We contacted the BLM to get authorization to access it. The gentleman in the vehicle was injured but had been released from the hospital, alcohol wasn't suspected, it was just an unfortunate series of mistakes that led to an accident.
