When Jacob is going through a difficult period in his life, he decides to go on a walk into the woods. There he stumbles on a scary situation that temporarily makes him forget all his problems. A pregnant wolf is hidden into the hollow trunk of a tree while a lynx preys on it. Jacob manages to save the wolf from her attacker, and even decides to check on her until she gives birth. The way the wolf repays him for his kindness is surprising, and completely changes the direction of his life.
