I loved being home these past two months doing school online and enjoying all of the beauty my island has to offer. A huge thank you to One Ocean Diving and all of the incredible work they're doing to support shark conservation and remind us of the beauty of these creatures. 70-100 million sharks are killed each year globally, and cage diving and violent media portrayals only serves to perpetuate these stereotypes. Swimming with the sharks on Oahu was one of the most peaceful and magical experiences I have ever had, and I encourage you all to find the beauty in sharks (even if they scare you initially), because they truly are the most incredible creatures.
