In this interview, Arshan goes to LA to link up with Ken Carson. This was at his show @ Catc One LA, where Ken was performing, alongside Destroy Lonely, Yung Kayo + more. Arshan tells Ken that he thinks he has the best beats in Hip Hop, further continuing the discussion into who Ken himself thinks has the best beats. Ken says he’s always on the phone singing melodies to his producers Starboy & Outtatown. Ken says TikTok famous artist Pink Pantheress has the best beats and shares that he wants to collaborate with her. The era of Soundcloud rappers comes up and Arshan brings up XXXtentacion and Ski Mask the Slump God, and Ken says he himself wants to be remembered as someone who creates music that makes his fans happy. This conversation continues into “old heads” not enjoying his music and Ken addresses that by saying he makes certain songs without ad libs just to please the old heads. He also talks about being signed to Playboi Carti’s label, Opium, and his relationship with its members (Lancey Foux, Destroy Lonely, and Bino). Ken shares that he doesn’t listen to Hip Hop, but is a huge fan of Green Day, Blink 182, and All American Rejects. He goes on to rate Arshan’s fit and gives him fashion advice. Towards the end of the interview he reveals he has known Travis Scott since he was 13 years old since he was around 808mafia so much (Luxury Tax 50, Southside, TM88) and explains if they still talk or not.
