If this solution works for most people, I will post a much higher quality video....I'm just too excited to wait and I want to share with all of you ASAP.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
My process for resolving the Karma Controller and drone Pairing issue, as demonstrate in video:

1. Remove harness from drone and remove camera from harness.

2. Turn controller on. Let it sit until much later.

3. Hold power button on drone for 8 seconds to enter pairing mode where lights flash and blue power lights flash. Let it sit until it turns itself off.

4. Press Power button to turn drone on. Wait for error lights on power button (flashing red light).

5. Insert the harness into the drone and lock it in. The camera is NOT in the harness at this point. After ~20 seconds the harness will activate.

6. Wait ~1 minute for the harness to deactivate and turn itself off.

7. Power off the drone by holding the power button.

8. Insert the gopro camera into the harness and snap the harness closed.

9. Power on the drone by pressing the power button. The harness should activate with the camera inside.

(you can also try this option: turn the drone on to pairing mode by holding the power button for 8 seconds).

10. If your controller and drone are not paired, Go the the pairing mode on the controller and turn off the drone to turn it back on into pairing mode.

Throughout this process I was very careful NOT to download any updates or available maps. However, I do not know if updating will ruin anything.
