At 11:00am CST on March 15th, 2024, medical students all over the country simultaneously learned where and what they would be training in for the next three to seven years. In their final year of medical school, these students applied and interviewed for residency programs of their choice. Applicants and program directors then ranked each other in their order of preference, and a specialized computer program matched students all across the country with their residencies. Match Day is the culmination of all the hard work these students have put in for the last four or more years of medical school.

This year, 181 Tulane students matched with residencies. 33 students are remaining in Louisiana for at least part of their training, 22 of whom are staying at Tulane.
