Ever played the blame game? Like there is an issue happening and then we immediately resort to “whose fault is this?” Makes sense right? The door was left unlocked… well who left it that way? The laundry didn’t get moved over to the dryer…not me, I wasn’t doing laundry. A missed deadline… well you should’ve told me earlier. I feel like every time something bad happens we want to shift blame. But what does that truly do? Just makes someone feel guilty and makes you feel like you did nothing wrong. Well, when Christ calls us to mourn with those who mourn, and to sit with people who need help, why are we so quick to push blame, encourage guilt and pridefully state “this wasn’t my fault” rather than seeing there is an issue, not casting blame, and helping find a resolution. Remember if we aren’t a part of the solution then we a part of the problem.
