A 1943 Ministry of Information film on bomb damage assessment.
It explains the interpretation of high altitude photographs using stereoscophy in an explaination of the work of photograph interpreters.
The film uses examples of RAF Bomber Command raids on Axis cities as damage assessment case studies.
This includes a raid on Mainz, Germany, showing the differing effect of 4,000lb bombs. Also examined are raids on the German cities of Lubeck, Colonge, Rostock, the Renault Works near Paris, naval dockyards at Wilhemshaven, Germany, Ansaldo fitting out yard and docks at Genoa, Italy. It finishes with a spectacular operational combat film of a night raid on Genoa as an example of the "future" of damage assessment.
