Every day, over 28,000 tonnes of plastic waste is dumped in Uganda. Our Ambassador, Juliet Namujju, is turning this pollution into fashion whilst challenging the perception of disabled persons in Uganda through her organisation, Kimuli Collections.

Kimuli Collections trains people with disabilities in upcycling and gives them the opportunity to create bespoke and sustainable fashion by mixing plastic waste, such as sugar sacks, cement bags, and plastic bottles, with unique African fabrics. Each year, Juliet and her team upcycle over 50,000kg of waste into 20,000 upcycled garments and accessories.

Watch this video to find out more about her work.
