I search for affordable off-grid solar power in my shed. Rather than taking the easy route with a conventional AC mains connection, I went on a late-night online adventure and stumbled upon a promising package on Banggood. This budget-friendly solution includes a 6kW inverter, a solar charge controller, and an 18V 18W solar panel, all for under £100 (approximately $120). Originally designed for camping and travel, this setup seemed perfect for charging the batteries for my Ryobi electric lawnmower, strimmer, and hedge cutter. To store the solar panel's energy, a 12V battery was required, but I had a suitable one on hand. Join me to find out if this cost-effective off-grid package is any good.
