What's Up Folks,

We have a easy RV wireless backup camera installation video for you today. This is the way I prefer to do the install. I have done quite a few reverse camera installs, and they look to be working fine. There are other methods, and other ways to do this, but this is the easiest most effective way to go about it in my opinion. Obviously, running a wire is better than wireless, but this wireless method is so much easier and will get you practically the same result.

I prefer to not drill any holes in RVs when installing cameras, so I opt to tap into the running lights which there should be a bunch on the rear top of any RV. I choose a middle running light, and tap into it to provide power the wireless reverse camera. To secure it, I used high quality 3M double sided tape, then some white silicone around the edges of the camera mount. It would take a lot of force to remove this tiny camera in the end. Bonus: If you hit really hard by accident, it will just dangle off vs getting screws ripped out.

You could alternatively tap the reverse camera to the reverse lights too, so that the camera automatically turns on when you put the RV in reverse, but keep in mind you won't be able to keep it on while you are driving forward like you normally do which is okay. It is more work also.

The RV I was doing the install for is a 2014 Majestic 23A Ford E-350. However, this method will work for virtually all RVs or Travel Trailers.

The wireless camera in the video is the 'Do Honest V25' wireless RV backup system. I am powering the backup monitor with via 12v cigarette adapter with an on and off switch, you can provide dedicated power if you want.
