This is my version of the Hendrix 'mystery song', Hey Joe. One of Hendrix's first commercial hits, this is a cover song that Hendrix made famous, but clear songwriting credits are, to this day, a mystery, with several people claiming to have had a part in the writing of this song. The cover itself that Hendrix recorded and released, has been covered countless times, so I decided to put my own spin on this song. The rhythm is partly taken from his live performances of this song, but also dictated by what sounded best when looped on it's own without any other instruments for accompaniment. I also thought it deserved another solo, so I stuck a second one of my own in ;)
