So riven mods are the RNG mods in Warframe. What that means is that they have random positive or negative attributes assigned to them! In essence that can be a very OP mod that gives over 4 other mods worth of stats in one go. You can also get unlucky and have something like -90% damage so you never know what will happen. Rivens are only for weapons, not for Warframes. Riven are mainly farmed from sorties, riven slivers, alerts, arbitrations, and much more. Hope this beginners guide helps you all, thanks!
