This is a begrudging ytp of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, although I barely used any of the third film. I did incorporate a pair of deleted scenes from the first two films in the trilogy, so if you'd like to see the original context for those scenes, they're linked below. I was hoping to use a lot of deleted scenes to help flesh out the story like I did for my longform prequel and original trilogy ytps, but unfortunately there weren't nearly as many interesting deleted scenes from these films; probably because there just aren't that many interesting scenes in general. It took so much work for me to even get this much out of these disjointed, muddled movies, and, to be honest, I don't think I've never felt so creatively exhausted as I did when I got to the end of this video.

I meant for this ytp to come out a literal year ago, but a combination of depressive episodes, real-life obligations, copyright issues, and an undying hatred of Rise of Skywalker rendered it permanently unfinished. The halted production of this video and the subsequent burnout it gave me was just atrocious for my health and well-being, to such a point that it took me months to even enjoy editing again after this. I still feel incredibly conflicted about releasing this video, especially in an unfinished state, but, after enough time passed I came to accept that I was never going to be able to bring myself to sift through any more footage from Rise of Skywalker. And, despite the lack of a finite resolution, I think in general I crafted a narrative that still feels more cohesive than the actual sequel trilogy. Not that that's saying a lot.
