The Covid-19 pandemic actually influenced a lot of changes in the actors and actresses. Most of the early scenes were filmed after production was suspended, and Bradley Cooper took the time off to lose 15 pounds to appear younger. Rooney Mara, on the other hand, was pregnant when filming began, and she ended up giving birth during the suspension. This worked out well for her due to the fact that the scenes filmed after the time off were early scenes where she was scantily clad.
