I didn't plan on making this video because of the simple fact that this project isn't all too complicated and didn't think it would make all that interesting of a video.

The project itself wasn't too interesting (it's really just a big box) but the lessons learned along the way were unexpected...

Great tutorial I used when learning SketchUp. He covers the basics of SketchUp at the beginning and then focuses on further teaching SketchUp through making common woodworking joints like grooves, dados, etc. The whole series is pretty short, and after the first three episodes you should have a pretty clear understanding of the basics.

Here is a video by Matthias Wendel that talks about using scenes in SketchUp, which are the little tabs I stepped through. This is where I got the idea for breaking down each parts into more detailed plans.

Here is another video by Jay Bates. I didn't show this in the video, but in this video he walks through taking a cut list and using SketchUp to layout each piece of plywood so that you can best figure out how many sheets of plywood you need and how to get the best yield from your plywood.

Finally, here is a link to a channel called TheSketchUpEssentials. The whole channel is dedicated to teaching SketchUp. He has some videos directed towards woodworking and other videos on the basics of SketchUp. They are very helpful and if you really want to take a deep dive into SketchUp this channel will really be able to help you out.
