Rise is an upcoming American biographical sports drama film written and directed by Akin Omotoso. Based on the true story of three young Nigerian-Greek brothers who immigrate to America and rise to prominence and success in the NBA. The three main characters are played by newcomers Uche Agada, Ral Agada, and Jaden Osimuwa, with Elijah Shomanke, Yetide Badaki, and Dayo Okeniyi playing supporting family members.
Rise is a Walt Disney Pictures production that will be released on June 24, 2022 as a Disney+ original film.

The true story follows three Greek brothers who rise from obscurity to stardom in professional basketball. Vera and Charles Antetokounmpo move from Nigeria to Greece in search of a better life for their family. The couple works hard to provide for their five children, but the prospect of deportation due to a complicated citizenship system jeopardizes their children's dreams. In order to pay the bills, the family works together to sell souvenirs to tourists in Athens. When the chance arises, the Antetokounmpo brothers vent their rage on public basketball courts. They quickly realize that, despite their lack of experience, they are naturally gifted ball players. The three of them decide to pursue NBA careers with the help of a talent agent.
