Jontay Porter is a former American professional basketball center and power forward who last played for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers. Porter was previously listed as a recruit under the Class of 2018 before reclassifying up a year to join his older brother, Michael Porter Jr., at Missouri. On April 17, 2024, after four seasons playing in the NBA and the developmental G League, Porter received a lifetime ban by the league for gambling. The NBA banned Toronto two-way player Jontay Porter after a league investigation concluded that he disclosed confidential information to sports bettors and wagered on games.The league said in a statement on Wednesday that an investigation found that Porter disclosed confidential information about his own health status to an individual he knew to be an NBA bettor ahead of a 20 March game against the Sacramento Kings.
