Republican Bernie Moreno took the stage to thunderous applause tonight as he defeated three-term Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown and established a new Senate majority on Capitol Hill.

“Tonight we have a red, white and blue wave in this country. We need leaders that put our interests above their own. We’re tired of leaders that think we’re garbage. We’re tired of being treated like garbage,” Moreno said.
