Scotland’s Katie Gregson-Macleod is the new queen of sad piano pop after a small video of her song ‘Complex’ exploded on TikTok. Now, half a year after this viral video, the singer songwriter released her first major label EP and is ready to conquer the world. She is reaching the audiences of her hero’s Elliot Smith and Phoebe Bridgers and is now able to change the lives of people with her own songs. During ESNS in Groningen, we sat down with Katie Gregson-Macleod and talked about recreating the video for ‘A Thousand Miles’, how Phoebe Bridgers changed her life and her big love for the city of Edinburgh.
