It’s hard to think of many other games that are like Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. Even when taking the entirety of Atlus’s catalogue into consideration, you’d be hard-pressed to find any other title that matches Nocturne in terms of tone, the type of story that is presented, and the themes that are conveyed. Which is doubly impressive when looking at the sheer number of games in Atlus’s Megami Tensei franchise. So, what exactly is Nocturne and what does this game do to stand out from the crowd of other RPGs on the PlayStation 2.
