This week’s topic — “The Enneagram, the Completed Human, and the Experience of Higher Dimensions: Part Two”

This week, in part two we will look at “higher dimensions”, what they are, what they are not, and how to work with them.

The Enneagram is a tool, or as Gurdjieff calls it, “the fundamental hieroglyphic of a universal language”. What this means to us, among other things, is that we can use it like an oddly shaped sextant to help chart our course from the station of the “Sleep of the Machine”™ to that of the “Completed Person” (the latter known in Arabic as Al-Insan Al-Kamil).

It’s important for us all to understand that the “Completed Person” is a just stage in the Work, not the end of it. But how do we get to this stage? The Enneagram can help us chart that course by allowing us to see the stages required, and to understand and prepare for each “толчок” (“tolchok”, meaning impulse/push/shock), to use G’s word, along the way.

As we follow the course, we can begin to perceive what are usually called “higher dimensions”. This becomes important for our Work for a couple of reasons. The first is that there is very useful information to be gleaned from such experiences. The second is that there is the possibility of tapping into higher energy sources to use in our further development.

This is a complex subject and we are going to devote two talks to the subject. So we hope you will join us for Part One this evening.
