On November 16, 2018, former Dallas Cowboys QB Roger Staubach received the Medal of Freedom at a White House ceremony with President Trump televised by CSPAN.

Quoting Wikipedia, "the Presidential Medal of Freedom is for especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."

Sitting next to Roger is Minnesota Vikings great Alan Page, who also received the Medal. For those of you long time NFL fans, you know Alan chased Roger around the football field during the 70's as the Vikings and Cowboys were always in each each others way for the NFC title.
