In this video, I'm going to share a simple yet effective plumbing trick to unclog your drain in seconds. We all know how frustrating it can be when the kitchen sink starts to drain slowly due to accumulated food scraps and grease over time. Instead of resorting to complicated methods or calling a professional, you can use this handyman trick that many plumbers swear by.

Firstly, remove the strainer from the drain. Then, grab your regular dishwashing liquid. Pour a generous amount, at least half a package, down the drain. Dishwashing detergent has excellent grease-dissolving properties, making it ideal for breaking down the deposits clogging your drain. The quantity ensures thorough coverage throughout the drain. Allow the detergent to sit for at least ten minutes to work its magic.

After soaking, replace the strainer and fill the sink with hot water. Let it fill up completely. Once the sink is full, remove the plug, allowing the hot water to drain out. This action will carry away the dissolved detergent, along with the grease and food residue that was causing the blockage.

To ensure a thorough clean, rinse the drain with hot water for 2-3 minutes. This final step ensures that any remaining residue is flushed away, leaving your drain completely clear.

With this simple method, your clogged drain will be unclogged and flowing freely again, just as it should. Say goodbye to slow-draining sinks with this quick and effective solution.
