HACHI is based on a true Japanese story and revolves around the true friendship and unlimited loyalty of a dog to his boss. Who will leave a small, cute puppy alone on a cold train platform? Professor Parker can not get over his heart and takes the Japanese Akita home.
The hospitality of the family is rewarded - the dog, Hachi baptized, becomes the best friend Parker could wish for.
They two walk together every day to the station and when Parker arrives again in the evening, Hachi is already waiting for him.
This is also the case on the day that Parker gets a heart attack at the university and does not return home. Hachi knows of no districts and the next day back in time at his permanent spot at the station, searching for his owner.
The faithful Hachiko keeps this up until his death, ten years later .
