This is my first day at UCLA…
Walking onto UCLA campus, I immediately felt a chill vibe. The people are chill but the weather is HOT. If you like sunny weather, UCLA is definitely for you. It's a big yet compact campus, and the food is good. UCLA students care about school/life balance, so they focus a lot more on extracurricular activities. Classes are challenging mainly because UCLA is running on a quarter system. It’s rigorous and it goes by super fast. Each quarter is 10 weeks and you have 4 quarters per year. Sometimes it’s hard to retain knowledge and it can feel like you’re just memorizing rather than learning. UCLA parties are definitely on another level. Every year, they host a big party called the Undie Run which attracts thousands of students. It gets quite rowdy. I really love UCLA dorms because they’re concentrated in one area called The Hill. You’ll meet a lot of friends in the common space. Overall, I love this college! I think it has a good balance between fun and rigorous study.
