A sometimes forgotten spot in the Bay Area is across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. You may remember the name as the late Robin Williams lived here. Minus to famous San Quintin Prison and Psychiatric Facility, it's a affluent and beautiful area. Especially the waterfront area. All kinds of boats and waterfront related restaurants. The view east is incredible with Treasure Island, Alcatraz Island, SF skyline, the Bay Bridge and and Golden Gate Bridge boasting in the background.
