Destiny 2's Lore and Story around the Necrochasm has evolved since the revamped version of Crota's End was added into Destiny 2. The new version of the Raid Exotic has lore implying that it was related to the Hive weapon master known as Enkaar, but it also implies that the inspiration for the Necrochasm came from whispers heard from another dimension.
