Hello Everyone!

Spring is here and a wonderful treat to enjoy is this buttermilk lime tea bread. I enjoy serving it when I get to gather with friends for a light brunch. I hope you enjoy it as much as my friends and I do.

Buttermilk Lime Tea Bread
1 3/4 C. Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
3/4 C. Sugar
1/4 t. Salt
2 t. Baking Powder
2 t. Lime Zest
1 C. Buttermilk
1 Large Egg at Room Temperature
1/4 C. vegetable Oil
1 T. Fresh Lime Juice
Glaze:
2 T. Fresh Lime Juice
1 T. Sugar

Bake in greased and floured 9x5 or 8x5 Loaf Pan @325 degrees, 50-60 minutes or until slightly golden brown on top and tester comes out clean. Check on bread at 35-40 minutes to see how it is baking up.

Wrap completely cooled bread in plastic wrap and serve the next day.
I leave my wrapped bread on my countertop, if it is warm or humid in your home, store wrapped bread in the fridge then take out 1-2 hours before serving.

Enjoy!
