At $ 150 million this was once the most expensive home for sale in the Hamptons. But the 4-acre beach-front property with two mansions, two pools, and a tennis court never sold for anywhere near that asking price. The owner of La Dune, as the estate was called, had some financial trouble, both of her homes were hit with multi-million dollar liens and she eventually put her estate on the auction block where it finally sold to the highest bidder for a fraction of that original 9-figure price tag.
