This storm water pumping station has been built to mitigate frequent flooding in metro Colombo area. The flood water receives through St Sebastian South Canal pumps into the Beira Lake which surrounds the Colombo city then to the Arabian Sea at the fabulous Galle Face Green seafront, near now famous Port City built on reclaimed land in the Colombo Harbour.

Interesting project at a most sought-after location.

A monument for a great team work!
