This Ford Custom owner tradesman got in touch with us after having a break in to his van where the thieves made the hole low down in the side door (which is the most common damage caused by thieves breaking into Ford Custom vans at this time), but the thieves also made a hole near to the deadlock that the customer had fitted to his van at the dealer.

We did manage to design and install deadlock attack shields to cover the damage made near to the deadlock on the side load door and also fitted our normal repair shield that fits lower down on the side load door.

In addition to the two repair shields that we fitted to the side load door, this customer chose to have us fit internal shielding for the latches for both the side load door and the rear barn doors and additionally he had external rear door shielding fitted too along with an alarm upgrade and other security products.

We always suggest that our customers have internal shielding fitted to both the side load door and the rear barn door of the Ford Custom vans to reduce the chance of thieves getting past the factory locking system. If we can stop the thieves from getting past the factory security locks with our internal door shielding, then there really is no point for a thief to attack the deadlocks and cause that additional damage.
