This was a big one... for me
What a day from start to finish! Big HUGE hank you organisers!

This was what cycling is all about and day to remember!

The event started at Viva Blue hotel in Playa de Muro.
We rolled as a peloton up the Coll de Femenia to Lluc where we had
first food stop. There was plenty of gels, sweets, water and energy drink available.
After the break we rolled again to the bottom of Puig Major where the climb started, once the military opened the gates. I had forgotten there was fair bit of climbing before the start point!!

About the climb!
It says on Strava it averages 8,6% but don't be fooled, the first 1km is almost flat! Needles to say then the fun started and the gradient stayed over 10-12% all the time only occasionally dropping below 10% to give you a little rest! My sense of time disappeared completely and the pain was real. In other words I concentrated too much of pedalling and not looking at the scenery. More about that later...

My gearing was 34/30 but I could have done with 34/32 or even 34/34 as my cadence was 61 for 44 mins!!

The view on the top are just out of this world!
I know there is loads of videos out there about views in Mallorca, but as this is closed road majority of the time, it feels and it is more special.

Once we were aloud to start descending it was finally taking in the views...
and what a views there are/were! I have been in Mallorca many times and seen many places, but this... it out of this world!

Coming back we had another stop in Lluc and then everyone road their own pace to Pollenca were we regrouped and road as a one big peloton back to Playa de Muro Viva Blue hotel where we were given medals (everyone was a winner :) ) We were treated with not only a superb company, but beer!! Oh and there was also a ceremony for the best 3!

I completely fell in love with cycling again!
