Here's how your old smart home devices get updates or upgrades to become Matter smart home compatible. Everything from Zigbee, to Z-Wave, to WiFi, and Thread, and everything in between could eventually become Matter ready, and today I'm showing you how.

The first big piece of news is Zigbee Direct, which is finally available. Zigbee Direct adds Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to the specification and this means a single Zigbee Direct device added to your home will expose your entire Zigbee network to BLE hubs, speakers, and more!
