In this video, I will be talking about how House of the Dragon may have revealed a decade old theory about the Mad King from Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. In the first episode of House of the Dragon, we learned House Targaryen has known the truth about the White Walkers ever since Aegon Targaryen arrived in Westeros. According to Viserys, this information has been passed down from king to king. I believe the Mad King Aerys Targaryen might have learned of the White Walkers and Night King as well. Maybe it was this knowledge and fear that drove Aerys Targaryen mad... This could also explain why the Mad King said, "Burn them all," for hours, right before he died...
