They have been friends since they were teens and they met through Cody's step brother, Seth!
Living totally different lives, they never thought they would end up together.
In 2020, they both moved back to Tennessee. Cody, in his 1999 rusted out Dodge van (of which Maddie wasn't initially a 'fan' of), rode her all over the country and she absolutely loved it!
The van opened her eyes to a totally different and simple world she never knew of and sometimes looked down on. The first night she spent in the van looking out the window at the stars with Cody wrapped around her, she knew she didn’t want to be anywhere else.
