In this road trip vlog, we leave the stunning landscapes of Tahoe behind and venture into the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Join us, Claire, Jake, and our ever-adventurous pup Maya, as we navigate through Oregon's wild weather, chase powder at Mt. Bachelor, battle freezing rain on our way to Crystal Mountain, enjoy a pitstop in the charming town of Sisters and conclude our road trip with the enchanting Bavarian vibes of Leavenworth, Washington. ☔🚐💨 This whole trip was a reminder of the beauty found in detours and the unexpected turns come with road tripping. So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let's hit the road!

🌲 Our journey kicks off with a night beside a serene lake in Oregon the tranquility only disrupted by the howling storm that rocked us to sleep. But every cloud has a silver lining, as we headed up to Mt. Bachelor, greeted by a blanket of fresh, albeit heavy, storm powder.

⛷️ Skiing at @mtbachelor was so much fun, even if the powder was a tad wetter and heavier than expected. Reminiscent of our days skiing in Whistler Blackcomb, the experience was nothing short of magical. But the fast-changing weather had us on our toes. NOAA's forecasts hinted at challenging road conditions ahead, so we set our sights on Crystal Mountain, Washington, chasing another snow storm.

🌨️ Our journey to Crystal was anything but smooth. Encountering freezing rain in Bend, Oregon, turned the drive into a battle against the elements, forcing us to take refuge in the quaint town of Sisters, Oregon. This unexpected stop, however, meant a morning exploring the beautiful cafes and bakeries, turning the rain into a welcomed detour.

🎿 We finally made it to Crystal Mountain, but the snow was far from the powder we were expecting. In light of the less-than-ideal conditions, we continued driving towards the storybook town of Leavenworth, Washington. Here, we found solace and charm in its Bavarian-styled streets, eating bratwurst and concluding our Pacific Northwest road trip on a high note.
