We are in Guadalajara Mexico on a Mexican street food hunt in the abastos market. This Mexican market is like no other market I have ever visited. The amount of food, fruits, and vegetables here is incredible. Basically the the abastos market in Guadalajara is where all the food is sent before being distributed among the state of Jalisco or shipped elsewhere in Mexico. Basically you can find it all here. My real goal was to find street food in the huge and crazy Mexican market. I had to walk a great distance, met some cool locals from Guadalajara and other parts of Mexico and eventually found my street food. I found tortas ahogadas which are a specialty in Guadalajara. They are basically sandwiches drenched in tomato sauce. This is one of the best street foods you can have in Guadalajara Mexico. I also had a huge chili the size of a small football. For those travelers who want to see something different and get a real feel of Mexico without any tourist crap, the Mercado (market) de abastos in Guadalajara is the place for you, hope you enjoy this Mexican travel vlog.
