More like Season of the Polaris Lance... right? Outside of that, this season wasn't too bad to complete. The solar artifact mods are crazy, and work well on all of the strikes. I was able to have 2 runs on each class on this video, so other than the weapon choices, at least there's a bit of variety in that sense.

As per usual, these compilations are generally the only place where I put my thoughts on the game and GMs as a whole. While my main points over the last few seasons stand, I think there's some key changes that need to happen going forward. Both to keep the GM experience from becoming increasingly stale, and to add variety to nightfalls as a whole.

First, I feel like having the set rotation of 6 specific nightfalls each season has become tiresome. The first day of the season you already know what the rest of the season is going to have in store, simply by viewing the conqueror seal. I feel like bringing back the randomised nightfalls like in D1 would go a long way to help with this. Not knowing what specific nightfall is going to come every week will keep things from becoming stale. Rather than having 6 on a rotation, having every week be unique would be a nice change of pace. Of course with that, you'd need to make adjustments on how the conqueror seal is gilded. Maybe just have it as 6 unique GM completions.

Second, the strikes themselves could do with some randomisation within them. I don't mean reworks like The Arms Dealer and Lake of Shadows, as in both cases they solely served to prolong the experience. I mean having different enemy spawns and types that can appear for each week. Right now, anyone who has experience in these strikes can know exactly when, where, and how all of the enemies will spawn. It means there's going to be zero surprises, and makes things even more stale. In the beginning of D2, strikes had different versions where different enemy types appeared. I don't know why that stopped happening, but I think bringing that back would help to keep things a bit more interesting, with only minor changes and effort being required. Each week should have the same set of enemies on every run, but it should vary between each week.

Third, a point I've found myself constantly repeating: there needs to be more of a separation between Master and Grandmaster difficulty. Right now, they feel far too similar in difficulty, and there's extremely few situations where there's any noticeable difference of the two, other than rewards. In fact, master can be more difficult at times, as it has access to more annoying modifiers. Either make the master difficulty lower, or bring the GM difficulty up. I know people don't like making things harder, but there's no reason that master needs to be essentially the same as GM, so bring it down. It still confuses me when their goals to bring challenge back to Destiny involved nothing about the hardest content, but only making changes to the stepping stones, which appeased nobody.

Last, if nightfalls are going to stay on the rotation each season, allow the selector node to remain constant towards the end of the season. It was a terrible change to remove that. Let people farm what they want to.
