Michael Rosen is one of our best loved children’s writers. He is a poet, scriptwriter broadcaster and performer. He regularly lectures and teaches in universities on children’s literature, reading and writing and is the former Children’s Laureate.
This is a recording of the talk given on October 19th 2022 at MK Gallery, presented by Living Archive, in association with MK Gallery, Inter-Action MK and MAKE, as part of series of events celebrating and exploring the ideas behind The Zerena Project 1988, which took place in Fishermead.
Michael Rosen spoke at a special event inviting teachers, educators, academics and artists from across Milton Keynes, reflecting on the documentary film Educating Zerena: An Alien Encounter, schools today and creativity.
Before Michael’s talk Living Archive screened Educating Zerena: An Alien Encounter, directed by Roger Kitchen, featuring the amazing story of what happened in 1988 when a spacecraft landed in the grounds of Newlyn Place First School and the alien Zerena emerged.
