Appleton native Sam Galante, along with other undergraduate students Adam Allen, Scott Breidigan, John Podlesnik and Jack Schilling, have used their time in their ISYE 450 class to help overhaul the scheduling system for Specialty Care Free Clinic in Madison.

Engineering isn't just building physical buildings and machines. This program uses industrial engineering to build a system - one that will help this free clinic schedule their volunteers with an app versus a physical desk calendar.

Classes like this give Badgers an opportunity to make a difference in the real world, before going on to find real-world success.
